Tastes like: From Hell

When I first saw this beer, I wasn’t sure if the ‘Wee Heavy’ meant ‘A Little Bit Heavy’ or if it was some kind of ironic bettin’ man’s ‘Oh Yeah Right ‘A Little Bit Heavy’, Who Are You Kidding I’ll Kick Your Wee Arse’ wee heavy.
This is a good beer. It’s the more approachable, more likeable less evil cousin of Victory Hop Devil. Same idea but they pulled it off this time. Slightly floral, slightly bitter and a wee bit scary.

I like From Hell because I like anything with Johnny Depp. He knows how to pick parts. And I like the hookah part, though I don’t think I’m supposed to.

Comments:
SO much better than Arrogant Bastard. This is one brutal effin’ beer. That’s Thor there on the label. Has a strange aftertaste – love it or leave it. Have to have a taste for it or just be used to the taste. Can’t say I loved it, yet somehow I couldn’t stop enjoying it on some id level. Let’s call it “The Tarantino Effect.”

Tastes like: Goodfellas (my favorite movie other than Office Space. This isn’t an Office Space beer, but believe me, we will find one that is.)

Comments: Lovely, yummy hint of coriander. Smooth, lovely beer all around! The best beer of its kind. Supremely, written, directed and produced all by the same Scottish people! Definitely a Scorsese: hard core but also has those unforgettable touching so-damn-true-to-life moments. I could drink this like I drink diet Canada Dry…all day long.
